DAY 1

We leave Arusha at 7:00 am and drive about 2 hours to Tarangire National Park. This park is often referred to as the "home of the elephants," an abundance of baobab trees. The change is great here, to spot elephants in large groups that gather around the Tarangire River. Other animals that are often spotted in the park are leopards, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, antelopes, baboons and even tree-climbing pythons as well as a variety of bird species! At noon we will have lunch at a beautiful picnic area in the park, and in the late afternoon we will drive to Karatu City to spend the night at the lodge (while on the way we can stop at the viewpoint of Lake Manayara National Park).

DAY 2

After breakfast at the lodge, we drive approximately 30 minutes into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day. There is a very high probability of spotting the "BIG FIVE": lion, rhinoceros, elephant, buffalo and leopard. Lunch takes place at the picnic area on the crater floor. In the late afternoon we drive back to Arusha or to the airport.
